Been a few years since I was healthy at the NJ State Triathlon and I've missed it! Olympic distance.. might be my least favorite but we had a fun day anyway.
Swim, better than the last one at least! Definitely played it too safe but it was a good step towards truly racing in the water again very soon.
Bike, solid! 26+ mph. Happy with the new setup. A liiiittle more reach and I think it'll be perfect. @tririg, @ceramicspeed, @ezgains.co.uk, @velovetta, thanks for helping me keep pace!
Run, meh. Just over 6 flat pace. The heat slowed everybody down, but I was hoping I'd hold up better.
Overall, the field at this race is stacked so I'm happy with it. A good step towards the upcoming test at Louisville 70.3 and the "A" race at Ironman Chattanooga. Still have some time to sharpen up the swim and get the run legs going again.
And a great race for @nsalenetri! 7th Overall and 2nd in her AG. TG5 wants to celebrate by going out to dinner tonight, and I think that's a great idea!
